Perched at the summit of Gold Hill, this family vacation home offers an unrivalled panorama of majestic Lake Pend Oreille and the surrounding mountain ranges. Enjoy the natural splendor of Idaho's most scenic location with pristine views from Schweitzer Mountain all the way around to the Green Monarchs. We are only five minutes from Bottle Bay Marina, providing guests easy access to one of the lake's best water sports areas to rent a boat or dock their own.
Make unforgettable memories at our unique home, which has four bedrooms, 700 square feet of deck space, outdoor dining, and a hot tub hanging on the very edge of our cliff. Our fire pit is the perfect spot for sunsets and smores.
Every room in Moosewood was designed to take in the stunning views of the lake. From the main floor master suite to the upstairs bunk room, all of your family and friends will have a claim to the best view in the house. The kitchen and dining room come fully equipped with table settings for 18, luxury appliances, and an espresso machine. A main floor laundry room features extra-large capacity machines to minimize the time and effort required to wash up after a day on the lake or hiking trails.
Moosewood has three guest bedrooms on the upper floor - one queen bed, one bedroom with 2 twin beds, and one triple bunk room optimized for play and movie nights as well as restful sleep.
Guests who book with us for a month or longer can access a private island with boat dock on Lake Pend Oreille, tennis courts, a protected swimming beach, and picnic areas.

This is an amazing house...
This is an amazing house. The view may be the best on the whole lake! The house easily fit the 8 of us, with room to roam and ample seating. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped, well laid out for several of us to work together at once, and great appliances. I enjoyed early morning hot tub soaking, and there is a firepit to sit around in the evening. The hosts are gracious, responsive, and helpful.
Amazing views...
Amazing views, serene and private location, clean and comfortable house. We loved the hot tub and spending time on the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and grill a few meals. The host provided K-cups and Nespresso pods, as well as a few other options for making coffee if you bring your own grounds. The road for getting to the house is gravel and a bit steep in a couple of parts, but no big deal for most cars. Sandpoint is about a 20 minute drive and super cute, with some good shops and restaurants. The lake is awesome. Overall a beautiful location to relax and enjoy nature.

The views are incredible, just like the pictures, but obviously better. We loved being out on the deck and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Pictures can’t do it justice, the views are absolutely priceless! The place itself is wonderful and perfectly set up so you do not have a thing to worry about. What a great team supporting the property, always responsive and accommodating. Moosewood was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after our wedding. We can’t wait to comeback!
